Therefore, rather than relying on the expertise of a single discipline, we integrate the knowledge of both professions to provide the most effective 'vision care solutions' for those who trust us.

'We do not allow an eye examination conducted by only one person or by a single profession.' Instead, every case is always assessed and jointly diagnosed by both the optometrist and the optician. Together, they consistently review and collaborate to address each patient’s visual needs.

In what ways do our optometrists and opticians collaborate?

Our working process in every case, after the eye examination, both the optometrist and the optician at Muller Optik will discuss and consolidate their expertise from both professions. For example, when the optometrist determines that a patient’s vision problem can be corrected with glasses, a consultation with the optician takes place before ordering the lenses. They carefully review whether the prescription, chosen lenses, and selected frames are compatible and will provide optimal comfort. Once a conclusion is reached, the order is finalized, and the patient’s record is always signed by both the optometrist and the optician. This ensures that every pair of glasses is the result of both scientific knowledge and professional experience from these two complementary fields of vision care.

In addition, by combining the expertise of both optometrists and opticians, we can provide a wide range of vision care solutions. These include eyeglass assembly, lens replacement, frame repair, dispensing artificial tears, and conducting preliminary screenings for ocular diseases. We also address issues such as double vision caused by strabismus. In cases where more serious conditions require immediate medical attention, our team can make accurate diagnoses and refer patients to ophthalmologists. Vision care is not limited to 'glasses' alone; there are many other effective approaches available.

Our optometrists hold a license for practicing optometry with the authority to perform visual assessments and prescriptions. They are considered experts due to over ten years of experience in vision care and problem-solving. Muller Optik also employs a certified professional optician who holds the 'Professional Qualification Certificate in Health Services, Opticianry Level 5.' Currently, this is the only individual in Chiang Mai to have passed this level, certified by the Optical Academic Promotion Association of Thailand in collaboration with the Institute of Professional Qualifications.
